NRA CET Exam 2021
As per a recent written reply by Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra, A Common Eligibility Test(CET) will be conducted by NRA that stands by National Recruitment Agency from the month of September 2021.
The NRA CET Exam 2021 will replace all tests conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The exam is mainly focused on holding a common exam for the recruitment of various Group B and Group C Non-gazetted posts.
What is the Common Eligibility Test by NRA
CET is a replacement for various tier-1 exams conducted for the recruitment of various Group B and Group C posts of the central government. The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will conduct this exam twice a year from 2021. The score from this exam will be applicable for the selection of candidates for various non-gazetted posts. To appear in this exam there will be no bar for the number of attempts until and unless the candidate reached the maximum age limit. This exam will be conducted on three different levels in over 1000 centers which will cover every district of India to ensure the reduction of expenses for poor students. The score of the NRA CET exam will be valid for 3-years (three).

Why NRA CET Exam 2021?
The main aim behind introducing Common Eligibility Test (CET) is to replace all the current examinations conducted by agencies for the recruitment of non-gazetted posts by a single computer-based exam. This will reduce the financial burden on candidates. They do not have to appear for multiple Tier-I examinations. This will also ensure that the recruitment process will be completed within a short time.
What is the NRA (National Recruitment Agency)
A multi-agency body named National Recruitment Agency will be formed by the central government to conduct a Common Computer Based Test (CBT) in the name of the Common Eligibility Test (CET) among more than 2.5 crore candidates each year.
Which Exams will be Replaced by CET 2021
The NRA CET Exam 2021 will replace all tests conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). Instead of these exams, there will a common CBT. This exam will replace exams like SSC CGL, CHSL, IBPS Clerk, IBPS PO, RRB NTPC, etc.

NRA CET 2021 Exam Structure
- The CET 2021 Exam will be conducted on three different levels, i.e. graduate, higher secondary, and matriculation level.
- The exam will be conducted in multiple Indian Languages.
- There will be more than 1000 centers all over India. That means, every district will have at least one examination center to ensure the participation of poor students from rural areas.
- National Recruitment Agency will conduct only the tier-I ie. prelims exam of agencies like SSC, RRB, and IBPS. The main examination or the tier-II examinations will be conducted by the respective agencies.
- There will be no restriction on the number of attempts that can be done by a candidate.
- NRA CET Exam score will be valid for 3 years and it will be shared with Central Governments, State Governments, UTs, PSUs, and Private Sectors for selection of candidates in different positions.
